The Organization for Humanitarian Assistance in Disasters (OHAID) is an independent humanitarian organisation

Organization for Humanitarian Assistance in Disasters (OHAID) was established in 2015 by an Afghan team of volunteers, as a non-profit, non-governmental, and non-political organization, OHAID formally registered on January 8 / 2023. in the Ministry of Economy of Afghanistan as a national NGO.

OHAID strives to save lives of the most vulnerable people either in emergency or crises by fighting hunger and delivering Humanitarian assistance. Considering the aims and objectives, OHAID is established to help improve local ability to prevent, prepare for, respond to, and recover from crises in Afghanistan.

As the hunger crisis in Afghanistan is incredibly on the rise, with over half the country’s population of 40 million now facing acute food insecurity, children encountering malnutrition, hunger and various other natural and social trends, OHAID comes up with the intense to work for development of marginalized and vulnerable communities. Meanwhile, we intend to improve agriculture, fisheries, and forestry sectors and to make sustainable use of the environmental and natural resources.

VISION:

The overriding aim of this social institution as a non-political, non-governmental, and non-profit is to leave no stone unturned to willingly provide humanitarian assistance to the most poverty stricken communities irrespective of political, ethnical, racial prejudices, and language favoritism.

MISSION:

is to assist marginalized and Vulnerable communities in developing food security policies, programs, and projects to reduce hunger and malnutrition, to help improve the agriculture, fisheries, and forestry sectors, and to make sustainable use of their environmental and natural resources.
